Apricot Pacman Frog

The Apricot Pacman Frog is a vibrant and eye-catching color morph of the popular Pacman Frog (Ceratophrys species). Known for its warm apricot, peach, and orange tones, this frog stands out with its bright coloration and round body shape. Its large mouth and classic “Pacman” appearance make it a favorite among amphibian keepers. Native to regions of South America, these frogs are ambush predators that spend much of their time partially buried while waiting for prey.

Apricot Pacman Frogs are relatively easy to care for and are a great choice for both beginner and experienced amphibian keepers. They are mostly sedentary and prefer a simple enclosure with a deep, moisture-retaining substrate such as coco fiber that allows them to burrow comfortably.

Temperatures should generally be kept between 24–27°C (75–81°F) with humidity levels around 60–80%. The substrate should stay damp but not overly wet, and a shallow water dish should always be available for soaking and hydration.

In captivity, Pacman Frogs are carnivorous and thrive on a varied diet of insects such as crickets, roaches, and worms. Larger individuals can also eat appropriately sized feeder prey. Food should be dusted regularly with calcium and vitamin supplements to support healthy growth and development.

With their bright apricot coloration, bold personality, and simple care requirements, Apricot Pacman Frogs make fascinating display animals and a great addition to any amphibian collection.
