The Boa Constrictor (Motley Het Anery) is a beautiful and genetically valuable morph known for its reduced pattern and strong breeding potential. The Motley gene creates a cleaner, more connected dorsal pattern with reduced side markings, giving the snake a sleek and distinctive appearance. Being heterozygous for Anerythristic (Het Anery) means this boa carries the genetic trait to produce Anery offspring when paired with another compatible snake.

Boa Constrictors are native to regions across Central America and South America and are well known for their strength, intelligence, and manageable temperament. With proper handling and care, they can become calm and confident animals, making them popular among reptile keepers.

In captivity, Boa Constrictors require a secure enclosure with adequate space, strong branches, and hiding areas. Temperatures should be maintained with a warm side around 30–32°C (86–90°F) and a cooler side around 24–26°C (75–79°F) so the snake can properly regulate its body temperature. Humidity levels should typically remain between 60–70%, with slightly higher humidity during shedding.

These snakes are carnivorous and feed on appropriately sized frozen-thawed rodents in captivity. Juveniles usually eat every 7–10 days, while adults may eat every 10–14 days depending on size and metabolism.

With its clean Motley pattern and valuable Het Anery genetics, the Motley Het Anery Boa is both a striking display animal and an excellent addition for breeders looking to work with unique boa morphs. Each individual displays slightly different patterning and coloration, making every snake truly one of a kind.
