Juvenile Tri-Color Crested Gecko

The Crested Gecko (Tri-Color Morph) is a stunning and highly desirable crested gecko known for displaying three distinct colors across its body. Typically featuring a mix of cream, tan, yellow, or orange alongside darker base tones, the Tri-Color morph creates a beautiful layered appearance that stands out in any reptile collection. Native to the tropical forests of New Caledonia, these geckos are arboreal and thrive in environments that provide plenty of vertical climbing space.

Crested Geckos are well known for their calm temperament and hardy nature, making them a great choice for both beginner and experienced reptile keepers. They are primarily nocturnal and become most active during the evening, climbing branches and exploring their enclosure.

A tall, vertically oriented enclosure with branches, cork bark, and plants is ideal for this species. Daytime temperatures should generally stay between 22–26°C (72–79°F) with a slight drop at night. Humidity should be maintained around 50–70% with regular misting to provide drinking water and help with proper shedding.

In captivity, Crested Geckos thrive on balanced fruit-based gecko diets specifically made for them. Insects such as crickets or small roaches can be offered occasionally for enrichment and extra protein. Fresh water should always be available in the enclosure.
