Turquoise Rainbowfish (Melanotaenia lacustris)
The Turquoise Rainbowfish is a vibrant freshwater species admired for its shimmering blue-green coloration and active schooling behavior. Native to Lake Kutubu in Papua New Guinea, these fish are peaceful, hardy, and make an excellent addition to community aquariums. Their iridescent colors become more intense with proper care and in well-maintained environments.
